Wellington Cable Car & Museum

Kia Ora!  Recognised as an iconic symbol of Wellinton, the Wellington Cable Car is perhaps the most popular source of transport in the city. Providing an exceptional experience, the funicular railway offers stunning panoramic views of Wellington including the Botanic Gardens. The Wellington Cable Car was founded in 1902 and has evolved drastically over the years to include an extended rail track of 628 metres running between Lambton Quay and the Botanic Gardens.
